North Shore Regatta – RESULTS December 4, 2008

The regatta at Lake Pupuke last Saturday was held in sunny weather with light winds until mid-afternoon.
Kyle and Dom raced in the first event of the day – the Women’s Open Double.
They placed 3rd and were disappointed that they hit a buoy soon after the start AND when in the lead!!
Our next race saw Dom 1st and Kylie 2nd in the WOpen 1X.
Then Rebecca had us all cheering loudly as she finished a very close 2nd in the WClub 1X. This was an exciting race for Rebecca and showed she is getting to grips with how to manage her effort during a race. Probably getting fitter has helped!!!!!!!
Alison and Alannah finished in 5-6 place in their WClub2X event.
The last race for us was the WU192X and the strong wind made conditions very difficult. This combination needs a lot more work to become competitive.
Next Regatta is at Lake Karapiro on 13-14 December.
