In April last year the club was vandalized and since then there have been several more bouts of deliberate damage and more recently illegal entry and petty theft.
Yesterday morning Kylie and I were confronted with the latest vandalism/break-in episode – people climbed a vent pipe and pushed in the temporary closure to the window which has suffered numerous barrages in the intervening months since April 2007.
We replaced the window damaged last April [$900] and now there are ELEVEN broken windows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Below are photographs of: the original damage and the latest round of vandalism.

A FIRST!
Massey High School rowers competed in U18 events at the North Island secondary School regatta at Lake Karapiro on March 14-16.
Jordyn and Jessica had one race – the heat of the U18 2X. They needed to finish in 5th place, or better, (out of 8 starters) but did not achieve that so their competition finished after one race.
Rebecca competed in the U18 1X and managed 5th place in the B Final on Sunday – this ranked her the 2nd best U18 sculler from the Auckland region and she was ranked 13 out of the initial 33 starters. To get to the B Final (on Sunday) Rebecca raced in a heat (on Friday), a repechage heat (on Saturday morning) and a semi-final (on Saturday afternoon).

Emma and Kylie had a Champs to remember. Their performances at the NZ Champs at Lake Karapiro during February 19 – 23 resulted in a medal in each event they contested.
A few more photographs over in the Photographic Journal.
