Results for our crews:
A FINALS
WPrem 2X Kylie and Emma placed 3rd in this event behind, 1st (Evers-Swindell sisters) and 2nd Hawkes Bay.
WPrem 4X The composite quad, comprising Emma and Kyie combined with Dominque and Laura from St Georges, started slowly but raced well to finish 2nd behind the Waikato RPC crew.
B FINALS
WPrem 1X Emma came 6th in her race and she was disappointed that she didn’t finish further up the field after her very good race on Saturday.
WSen 1X Rebecca placed 4th and was pleased with both the result and the clear improvement she has made since KRI #1 in this event.

Waitemata Rowing Club enters its 125th year in 2008.
SUGGESTIONS FOR SIGNIFICANT 125 ACTIVITIES include:
A history of the club would be an excellent project to commemorate this milestone.
A regatta on Henderson Creek.
Purchase a new eight.
A database of previous members is required.
That’s a start – please add your suggestions.
Serious planning will start in March.

Training Camp
Our training camp at Lake Maraetai, from Jan. 4 – 13, has been and gone (thank goodness! say some). Emma, Kylie, and Rebecca did the whole camp and Jordyn and Jessica came down for a couple of days which included the afternoon OFF at Taupo day. Our accommodation was a house that had a view of the lake and bowling club. More importantly, it had 2 TVs and a washing machine!!. We rowed three sessions a day so people got tired and needed twice daily ‘nanna naps’.
Upcoming Regattas
The next regattas are at Lake Karapiro on 26-27 Jan and 2-3 Feb. (North Is Champs). Accom. yet to be sorted.
Rebecca will contest the club 1X, Jordyn&Jessica the club 2X and Kylie&Emma either the Prem or Sen 2X and 4X; Emma will also race either Prem or U21 1X.
Our ‘novice’ group comprising Alannah, Danielle, Alison and Ben started up again this week with Ben christening the New Year by falling out of the single yet again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
