Waitemata – Takapuna Regatta held at Lake Pupuke on Saturday, October 27 2007
Yesterday, together with Takapuna Grammar we co-hosted the first regatta of the new season at Lake Pupuke. Lots of parents and rowers worked very long hours serving food to the masses. Many thanks to Judy for organizing this major fund raising event for our club.
We had a small contingent of rowers competing -
WClub 2X Jessica, Jordyn 3rd in second division
WOpen 1X Emma 1st
WOpen 2X Kylie, Emma 1st
WU18 1X Rebecca 3rd
WU18 2X Jessica, Jordyn 4th
WClub 4X Kylie, DOMINIQUE, Rebecca, Emma 1st
The racing showed us that there is reason to be optimistic about our prospects. Everyone learned that there is plenty of room for improvement and this will provide good incentive for our training sessions.
